Course Objective

To compere methods in Turkish Poetry in Republican Era and present them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To comprehend and explain social, political and cultural improvement which play role in Turkish Poetry in Republican.
2   To comprehend, explain and integrate previous term with Turkish Poetry in Republican Era.
3   To comprehend and explain artists, features and groups in Republican era.
4   To explain, compare and analise Westren methods which affect Turkish literature.
5   To explain position of Turkish poets in this era, to analise poetry and to determine relation between poets and their poetry.
6   And use view of Turkish Republic, era in education.

2 Poetry and it s development in the first therm of Rebuplic. Poetry conception of country.
3 First therm of Rebuplic: Social Realist Poetry and poets of this term.
4 First therm of Rebuplic: Yedi Meşaleciler and independent poets.
5 Poetry between 1940-1960: Garip movement and poets of this movement.
6 Poetry between 1940-1960: Hisar movement in poetry and poets of this movement.
7 Poetry between 1940-1960: II. Yeni movement in poetry and poets of this movement.
8 Mid-term exam
9 II. Yeni movement in poetry and poets of this movement.
10 Poet between 1960-1980: Relation between poetry and politic.
11 Turkish Poetry after1980: Poetry that turned to human innerworld and at poetry that searching of identity.
