Course Objective

To learn the resources pertaining Turkish literature and to enable reading and understanding these resources from original texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to read and understand the classical Turkish literature resources from original texts
2   Being able to distinguish the resources from which the poets and narrators who give opus in the classical Turkish literature are nourished
3   Being able to classify and evaluate the classical Turkish literature resources
4   Being able to comprehend the place, importance and value of the sources of Classical Turkish literature within the history of Turkish literature
5   Being able to apprehend the importance of Turkish literature resources regarding the Turkish culture

2 Quran and the hadith, the use of Divan Literature
3 The Divan Poetry of the Prophets mentioned in the stories and the parents
4 Iranian mythology and the heroes Şehname
5 The importance of the Sufism of Divan literature
6 Common threads of Divan Literature; Layla and Majnun, Ferhat and Sirin, etc. ..
7 Government and state and use of the concepts related to the texts of the classical period
8 Midterm Exam
9 Treated in religious issues
10 Traditions, customs, traditions place divan poetry, poetry reflection of daily life
11 About the sources of Divan Literature: Tezkireler
12 Şakayık-ı Numaniye ve Zeyilleri Keşfüzzunun ve Zeyilleri
13 Other Biographical Works: Calligrapher anthologies, Mecelletünnisab etc
