Course Objective

To show contemporary theories in the area of sociology of religion.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will learn the history of sociology in the 20th. century.
2   They understand contemporary theories in sociology of religion.
3   They will see how to apply comtemporary theories in sociological of religion to modern sociological issues.
4   They will investigate impacts of classical sociological theories on contemporary ones.
5   They will discuss recent endeavors on developing new theories in sociology of religion.
