Course Objective

To read, understand and eveluate the Sufi texts

1   Student recognizes the major classics of Sufism
2   He reads, understands and explains the Sufi texts written in Arabic
3   He reads and understands Sufism terminologies from the main sources
4   He reads and learns the life stories of Sufi figures from the main sources
5   He recognizes relations of the texts in question each other and their differences

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The students solve/translate the texts before the course with the help of dictionary. Then the texts is read and explained mutual during the course

Reading and understanding of the the texts correctly will be measured in the mid-term and final exams. Active participation to the lecture will be awarded according to student preparations and readiness for the texts.

Students' achievements are calculated from the results of mid-term exam, final exam and active participation to the lecture.
