Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inculcate formation, development and transformation of Sufi thought and istitutions in the historical process, and to introduce to persons and events in the history of Sufism.

1   Student knows social and political events in the period of Sufism that appeared
2   He comprehends how the rice/appearance of Sufism
3   He recognizes the major Sufi centers and schools
4   He knows the leading figures of the Sufism
5   He understands the ideas that emerged in the classical period
