Course Objective

The goal is to inform students about the classical sources in the field of Islamic Sectarian History and to develop their skills in reading, understanding, translating, and utilizing the selected texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students gain knowledge about the authors of *al-Milal wa al-Nihal* and other related works.
2   Students understand the approach authors use in addressing sects.
3   Students will be able to read and comprehend selected passages from these works.
4   Students will be able to utilize these works in their academic research.
