Course Objective

Immigration has both domestic and international effects. Domestic immigration are explained with domestic dynamics. Contrary to this international immigrations are explained with international immimgrant flows. In the content of this lesson it is aimed to make sociological, economical, political, legal and administrative evaluations and it is aimed to gain multidicipliner wiev to students.

2   Being able to evaluate new arrangements about immigration
3   Being able to evaluate international immigration policies and its reflections to Türkiye
4   Being able to analyze legal structure about immigration
5   Being able to make studies on immigration and analyze reports

4 Regular and irregular immigrations
5 Domestic immigration, its causes and effects on local culture. Rural and urban analyzes.
6 Internation immigration theories and their critices
7 International labour immigration and their effects on economic culture of city
8 Effects of international immigiration on political/administrative culture of city
9 Cultural essentialism
10 Multicultural policies and their criticizes
11 City effected from international immigration
12 Effects of international immigration on local democracy
13 City effected from international immigration in Türkiye: Case of Izmir
14 General evaluation and reminder, reviewing the degree of achievement of the learning outcomes of the course by making a situation analysis of the period.
