Course Objective

This course aims to ensure that students know the values, the concepts and the language relating to social politics are being modified in recent years and the attention is increasingly drawn away from the institutions, the rules and the procedures that protect labour.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognise the concept of globalization, global production networks and global policy networks.
2   Classify global actors in social politics
3   Interpret national state, multinational companies, trade unions and non-governmental organizations.
4   Debate corporate social responsibility, social movements and global framework agreements
5   Relate the global developments to social policy
