Course Objective

The European Single Market, Internal Market or Common Market is a single market which seeks to guarantee the free movement of goods, capital, services, and labour - the "four freedoms" - within the EU member states. The main objective of this course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge examining the main elements of the single market which is one of Europe's major achievements.

1   To understand the main scope of European single market and its mechanism
2   To evaluate the main purpose of the European single market
3   To analyze the connection of establishing a single market in the EU for the purpose of economic and political integration
4   To understand the scope of European economical integration and its functioning
5   To evaluate the effects of global economic developments on the European single market
6   To reveal the differences of a single market with other regional and economic integrations
