Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the information society and the basic features of information economics in this social restructure and present social structure of Türkiye and transition policies to information economics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to learn multiple, organic and integrated restructure of system, structure and process of social problems in the context of system analysis based on social entirety.
2   To be able to learn organic cumultaive netwotk interaction and interaction relationships in the entirety of society.
3   To be able to learn the basic features of information economics and its effects on the science of economics.
4   To be able to learn the production of information in the information society, the use of information and economic effects and the reasons of the differences of development between countries.
5   To be able to analyze the social structure of Türkiye and to learn the necessary policies for the transition to information society.

1 Knowledge and the types of knowledge.
2 The transformation from agricultural society to industrial society.
3 The transformation from industrial society to knowledge society: transition from Newtongil paradigma to Quantum paradigma.
4 Knowledge society and the condition make it occurs.
5 The parameters of knowledge society and comparisons between countries and country cases.
6 The structure of knowledge society and fundamental features of it.
7 The effects of knowledge society on the sub-areas of social entirety
8 Knowledge society and its features, indicator of knowledge society, comparisons between countries.
9 Production process of knowledge and intellectual capital.
10 Production process of knowledge and intellectual capital.
11 The effects of knowledge economics on macro economics: employment, growth, income distribution, price stability, external equilibrum
12 The effects of knowledge economics on micro economics: firm structure, entrepreneurship, market structure, consumption, effects on production.
13 The effects of knowledge economics on economic policy
14 Present social structure of Türkiye and transition policy to knowledge society.
