Course Objective

This course provides fundamental concepts, theory and procedures for the study of facilities location, logistics, and routing. Analytical procedures are developed to enhance the decision-making process in the design, rationalization and improvement of manufacturing or service facilities.

1   Defining basic concepts of operations research in logistics
2   Using mathematical techniques to express decision problems
3   Finding solutions of decision problems
4   Interpreting the solutions of decision problems
5   Gaining both theoretical and practical skills applying decision models to different areas
