Course Objective

This course comprises various key-aspects of precursor chemistry with the process conditions of materials formation, particularly looking at the similarities and differences of CVD, ALD and nanoparticle synthesis.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have the ability to reach advanced knowledge on the area of study, through unique point of view and research for continuing further studies.
2   To have the ability to fully understand and use up- to- date knowledge and methods.
3   To have the ability to apply and formulate related scientific methods for conducting innovative studies.
4   To have the ability to publish an academic article in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
5   To be able to make research collaborations by using student exchange programs.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

There will be minimum 2 assignments, averaged out grades for which will be 25 % of the
term grade. Mid-term examination affects the term grade by 25 %. Final examination
affects the term grade by 50 %. Midterm, Final exam and assignment grades determine term
grade.

Assessment Criteria

There will be mid-term, assignments and final examination. The students will attend this lecture as an interactive manner. Students assignments and mid-term examination will be avaraged and affect the grade by 50%. Final exam will be 50% of the resulting grade of the overall success of the students.

Attendance to at least 70% for the lectures is an essential requirement of this course and is the responsibility of the student. It is necessary that attendance to the lecture and homework delivery must be on time.
