Course Objective |
This course aims to cover the complete cycle of structural nanomaterials from their classification, processing, characterization, stability, mechanical behavior, corrosion, and applications. The need for structural nanocrystalline materials and the variety of processing methods that have been used to make nanomaterials for structural applications are discussed. Various methods used to characterize the nanocrystalline structures are described then mechanical and corrosion behavior of nanocrystalline materials are reviewed and finally potential applications for structural materials are presented in detail. |
