Course Objective |
Biological samples, diagnosis in diseases, tracking, genetic studies, the development of the treatment tools, pharmacogenetics, drug design are the indispensable sources of gene therapy studies. Nowadays, a large part of biobanks are found in universities or research centers. Within the context of this course, it will be provided that awareness of students will be increased about the topics of creation of high-quality medical record systems, the interconnection of large databases and ethical issues encountered in the process of the generation of biobanks the necessary arrangements. |

Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term and final exams, homework and presentations. |
