Course Objective

The purpose of this course is teaching of advanced welding applications which are the most important processes of steel ship production and giving a demonstration about phases of both construction and process planning that should be known.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Teaching of electric arc, plasma and it s properties and forces that affect to electric arc.
2   Teaching of influences of welding method on welding ability.
3   Teaching of basic principles and application areas of MIG/MAG welding, TIG welding, Submerged arc welding and pressure welding.
4   Teaching of weld microstructure of 2 cold formed plates in one pass welding.
5   Teaching of basic principles and application areas of gas welding
