HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING AND WATER RESOURCES |
Course Objective |
Some engineering problems are so complicated that they can t be solved by mathematical approaches and the only tool is to design and build a physical model in order to verify the theory and to obtain experimental data. Dam spillways, river structures, breakwaters, are examples which are designed and studied by means of hydraulic models. It is intended to provide the basic knowledge about physical models based on the fundamentals of the similitude and also make acquire the mastery in the experimental study. |
