Course Objective |
The purpose of Digital Video Processing course is to cover the fundamentals of digital video signal generation and further processing over the communication systems. In particular, this course will cover terminology of analog and digital video signals processing, and makes students understand the spatio-temporal sampling, motion analysis, parametric motion models, motion-compensated filtering, and video processing operations including noise reduction, restoration, interlacing, video sampling structure conversion, and compression. A number of advanced topics will be covered, including video segmentation and layered video representations, video streaming and digital TV standards. |
