Course Objective

The aim of the course is to develop intellectual framework which will be required for researches on cultural heritage and conservation of cultural heritage. In addition to this the aim of the course is to teach the methods which will be required for the researches.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-Analyze the phenomena related to cultural heritage and conservation from the perspective of a research.
2   2-Investigate the data related to cultural heritage and conservation with scientific methods.
3   3-Discuss the approaches and principles related to cultural heritage and conservation systematically.
4   4-Develop the ability to use the resources to form the basis of research and describe the research in this context.
5   5-Evaluate the developments related to cultural heritage and conservation with the conceptual and methodological approaches.

1 1-Introduction of the contents of the course and general framework for the research methods. 11-Presenting of the researches and discussing the results.
2 2-Theoretical framework for the researches related to cultural heritage and conservation. 12-Presenting of the researches and discussing the results.
3 3-Creating of the problematics for the researches and discussing of the assignments. 13-Presenting of the researches and discussing the results.
4 4-Pre-research processes for the researches on cultural heritage and conservation. 14-Presenting of the researches and discuusing the results
5 5-Literature review and investigating of archives for the researches on cultural heritage and conservation. 15-General evaluation
6 6-Interdisciplinary issues for the researches on cultural heritage and conservation.
7 7-Methods for researches on cultural area and cultural heritage.
8 8-Methods for collecting of data, analyzing of data, evaluating of data and obtaining scientific results on the researches related to cultural heritage and conservation.
9 9-Scientific phrase and presentation for the researches on cultural heritage and conservation.
10 10-Submitting and criticizing for the assignments.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Learning and teaching by directly explaining, learning and teaching by systematical discussions, learning and teaching by scientific literature rewiev and investigating statistics, archives etc., learning and teaching by researches focused to talking with the people or observation in historic environment.
