Course Objective

Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to introduce modern management and production approaches that have been developed in recent years and are currently applied in the industry and to examine their areas of use in ready-made clothing production. For this purpose, first of all, the basic principles of all current systems and application areas, both managerial and technological, will be explained. Comparing traditional approaches with modern methods and analyzing the gains are among the main objectives. From this perspective, modern production approaches such as lean production, modular production, cellular production, as well as the application potential of new generation technological applications such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence technologies in the ready-made clothing industry will be examined

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to compare traditional approaches to modern production approaches
2   Ability to predict the importance and advantages of modern production approaches in terms of industrial production efficiency
3   Ability to understand the importance of the integration of current technologies into garment technologies and the gains they will provide.
4   Ability to analyze the usage potential of internet-based applications in the garment industry
5   Ability to evaluate the advantages that can be obtained in garment production management as a result of digital data generation and use
