Course Objective |
The Automated Coastal Engineering System (ACES) is being developed by the Automated Coastal Engineering Group, Research division (RD), Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC), US Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES). This lecture provides a comprehensive environment for applying a broad spectrum of coastal Engineering technology. ACES will be introduced and students will be requested to study some coastal engineering problems using ACES. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course is implemented as class presentations and discussion. Attendance and discussions are expected to the lectures, laboratory assignments and oral presentation hours. Grades will be based on exams (Midterm 25%, Final 50%) and term project (25%). |
