Course Objective |
Fish and other aquatic production represent both vital contribution to the human food supply and a extremely important component of the world trade. The supply from wild harvest is not expected to increase substantially in the future. Aquaculture has consolidated its position as an important means of producing food and a contributor to global food security. Aquaculture technology course give an overview of concept aquaculture and the system used to raise the some major aquaculture species. Aquaculture is to manage the environment, and that is the job of the production system. This course provide the best coverage of the subject, and a comprehensive explanation of each system. This course provide better understand that the system they take issue with is only a very small portion of the larger aquaculture industry while comments and critism negatively and positively impact all parts of the industry. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course is taught in a interactive manner with a short class presentation and discussion format. Field visits to fish farms and provide application. All class members are expected to attend regularly and take a full part in the presentations and discussions. The preparation of an on-going thematic folder will be required for assessment. A formal written examination will take place at the quiz end of the semester. |
