Course Objective

The aim of the course is to give detailed knowledge about the spinning of the man-made staple fibres in cotton system and to give information about the problems occur during the production processes and suitable solutions to those.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have detailed knowledge about spinning of the man-made fibres in short staple spinning system.
2   To have knowledge about the properties of man-made fibres and their effects on spinning.
3   To have knowledge about the differences between the spinning processes of man-made staple fibres and 100% cotton.
4   To learn the problems occur during production processes of the man-made staple fibres and the suitable solutions to those .
5   To have knowledge about the spinning stages of man-made staple yarns in ring, compact, open-end rotor and air-jet spinning technologies.
