Course Objective |
Dynamical aspects of carding and drawing based on statistical mechanics and those of spinning, weaving and knitting processes based on geometrical models, will be introduced. The course also aims at showing how textile processes are controlled by automatic control systems. |

The course aims to give the students a deeper understanding of carding, drawing, spinning, weaving and knitting processes and their mechanical aspects in relation to the properties of textile materials, namely fiber, yarn and fabric, and to the machine parameters. |
