Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Theoretical background of soil-structure interaction will be introduced to the students. Special emphasis will be given to the interplay between subgrade soil and foundation. Students will be asked to do homework assignments on various types of SSI problems. 2D and 3D numerical solution software will also be utilized to illustrate foundation response as a function of soil and structural stiffness. |
