Course Objective

The main purpose of this lesson is to describe the basic principles of the communication theory and multiple access techniques used in digital communication. Moreover, OFDM and MIMO systems and digital communication under multipath fading channel models constitute the content of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students are expected to explain the principles of the communication theory.
2   The students are expected to perceive the significant parameters used in baseband and band-pass signals used in digital communication systems.
3   The students are expected to formulize the communication problem under multipath fading channels.
4   The students are expected to perceive the multiple access techniques in digital communication.
5   The students are expected to describe and realize the basic OFDM and MIMO Techniques
