Course Objective

The analysis of highly indeterminate framed structures by matrix-based methods such as Displacement Method and Force Method constitutes the main aim of the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have a knowledge to analyse structures by using matrix-based methods
2   To be able compare the classical solutions of inderminate structures with matrix-based solutions
3   Ability to apply matrix-based methods to the analysis of highly-indeterminate framed structures
4   To be able to examine the results of the analyses of the structures obtained with matrix-based mthods
5   To evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of various analysis methods
