Course Objective |
The course explains the philosophy and basic principles of quality management in architecture. The course includes the principles of quality management, quality planning, cost of quality, customer / user satisfaction, continual improvement, total quality management, quality assurance systems, methods used in the quality management process, quality management practices in the building industry. It also covers challenges and success factors in quality management practices in the building industry, strategic approaches to quality management, effects of technology management on the success of quality management. Furthermore, in this course it is given information about new quality management approaches to green building projects undertaken by building design and construction firms in the green building industry, relationship between quality management and innovations (eco-innovations), effects of innovation management on quality management in the green building industry. |
