Course Objective

The objective of this course is to present the fundamentals of maintenance and reliability and maintained systems, and to introduce ways in which the concept and solution of
mathematical models can be brought to bear on the resolution of decision making problems associated with the maintenance, replacement and reliability of equipments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   An ability to express the role and basic use of probability concepts and statistics.
2   An ability to analyze the reliability of coherent systems for specified warranty or projected life periods
3   An ability to determine the failure models of the system
4   Ability to analyze performance of reliability systems
5   An ability to introduce ways in which the concept and solution of mathematical models can be brought to bear on the resolution of decision making problems associated with the maintenance, replacement and reliability of equipments.
