Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic critical literacy skills, to raise awareness of media texts and to show the connection of media with culture, social events and political economy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. At the end of the course, the student will be able to follow the media with a more critical perspective
2   2. To have information about mass media
3   3. Learn the cultural and economic political background of media
4   4. Will be able to question their own media usage
