Course Objective

In this course,it is aimed that to give knowledge about concept of health anddisease, disease etiology, prevalence of diseases related to the basic principles in terms of health care;relation betweeen the systems and diseases; nature of infectious diseases and transmision routes, sterilization, disinfection, nosocomial infections.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can define the basic definitions and concepts related to health 2   Can define what are the criteria that affect health 3   Defines what Early Diagnosis is 4   Can explain the ways of transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and the methods of protection from them. 5   Can explain the ways of transmission of respiratory infectious diseases and the methods of protection from them. 6   Can discuss the concept of environmental health and the factors affecting it 7   Can explain the definition and concepts of employee health, risk factors and ways of protection 8   Can define family planning and methods 9   Can define the problems of health care employees 10   Can discuss the preventive methods for nosocomial enfections
