Course Objective

This course will introduce the student to transcultural nursing concepts, assessment, and the role of culture in understanding and caring for diverse clients in health care settings. Students will gain self awareness for eliciting and responding to clients needs.

2	Identify personal beliefs and attitudes related to diversity
3	To reflect on how one s individual world view affects personal relationships
4	Recognize cultural and religious issues that impact client and family needs.
5	Discuss issues of diversity that impact your interactions with clients and families.
6	Describe cultural practices that may influence health care for various populations by case.
