Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to realize the value of historical and culturally important areas in terms of preservation and transferring them to the future, to perceive and discuss their original features and conservation problems through different scales and qualities of analysis within the scope of MIM 3705 course, and to examine the solution proposals for the problems. In this context, the conservation problems of the housing-oriented historical fabric in an urban settlement selected within the scope of the course will be determined and intervention decisions will be developed. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The learning process is carried out with problem solving method, project-based teaching and case study method. In this context, it will be provided to teach the basic concepts as theoretical knowledge, in the light of the analysis studies prepared within the scope of MIM 3705 at different stages with joint criticism, perception and discussion of conservation interventions, developing intervention decisions through individual and group criticism. The learning process is evaluated through the work performance of the students in the process, interim and final submission. |

Course Policies and Rules |
Within the scope of the course, different dimensions of the protection problem are discussed through examples and suggestions are developed. It is expected that the students prepare and present the studies defined within the Bologna form course content regularly, and pass the process efficiently besides the success of the submitted projects. |
