Course Objective

To make students understand the basic concepts, loads and stress types related to structure and construction through experiments, to give knowledge about structure classification, construction systems of all kinds, wall producing methods with stone and brick and principles of Earthquake Code (Afet/Deprem Yönetmeliği).

2   Recognizing the principles of timber skeleton construction system
3   Practicing the required technical drafting competence
4   Determining main decisions according to related Earthquake Code (Afet/Deprem Yönetmeliği) principles for masonry and timber skeleton construction systems
5   Developing solutions for masonry and timber skeleton construction systems
