Course Objective |
The main objective of this course is to describe and demonstrate in general the basic concepts and knowledge area of transport economy, its functional efficiencies and role in urban planning activities. Especially expected to play a supplementary role in urban transportation planning. For those students who are willing to get specialized in this subject can get benefit for gaining skills in analysing the transport systems, in solving related problems, and in making decisions and estimations for the future. It is also expected to give students basic knowledge in economical and financial evaluation of transportation systems. For this an emphasis will be given on the ways of interdisciplinary approaches of transport economy and its interactions with those disciplines. |
