Course Objective

This course aims to describe the basic concepts of urban design, explain the techniques necessary to solve the planning and design problems. Upon completion of this course the students are expected to develop necessary skills to design and plan small scale healthy settings by being able to describe the basic components of urban settings and their relations.

3   3 Interpret basic concepts of urban design in its context,
4   4 Able to design a site plan for a given setting by using knowledge of environmental perception and basic design principles applied to urban design.
