Course Objective

This course intends to give students the ability to use English more effectively in professional terms by means of augmenting use of planning terminology in foreign language, providing access to foreign literature in planning and facilitating international communication via both audio and visual tools.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To translate basic planning terms and concepts in English as a foreign language
2   To express fundamental developments concerning planning history and design principles in a foreign language
3   To follow the current agenda of planning through literature survey in urban studies
4   To become skilled in use of professional terminology in English
5   To formulate professional debates in international environments
