Course Objective

The properties and the working principles of warp knitting machines, complex warp knitted structures, warp knitted technical and medical fabrics are examined.

1   Recognizing the warp knitting machines and their working principles

3   Ability to design complex warp knit structures
4   Designing the production of two dimensional medical and/or technical warp knitted fabrics

2 Tricot warp knitting machines; knitting element, yarn feeding and fabric take down
3 Raschel warp knitting machines; knitting element, yarn feeding and fabric take down
4 Two needle bar warp knitting machines; patterning and fabric sturctures
5 Jacquard warp knitting machines; knitting elements, patterning and designing
6 Jacquard warp knitting; fabric structures and properties
7 Plating, miss lapping, weft insertion and fall plate techniques, fabric structures and properties
8 Multi gulde bar kntting machine; paterning and fabric properties
9 3D warp knitted fabrics and properties
10 3D warp knitted fabrics and properties
