Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide the students with the necessary grammar and vocabulary in order to make them capable of writing technical reports and make efficient presentations, as well as acquiring the ethics of computer engineering.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analyze the resources of computer engineering written in english,
2   Define and describe the the topics of computer engineering, in correct words and vocabulary,
3   Obtain and use the up to date vocabulary and terminology in computer engineering topics,
4   Write technical reports and literature in technical english,
5   Make effective english presentations, in computer engineering,
6   Abide by the ethical rules while working and executing all sorts of activities, in computer engineering.

7 Outline, contents and grammar of sections of technical reports.
8 Preparing for a technical report. Writing the sections of a technical report.
9 Writing a project progress report. A sample template.
10 A sample (template) technical report. Mistakes to avoid when writing a technical report.
11 Presentation of technical reports. Rules of an effective presentation.
12 Introduction: Ethics of engineering and technology. Introduction to computer engineering and IT ethics.
13 Ethics and moral of computer engineering.
14 Ethical behaviour to carry out and to avoid.
