Course Objective

The aim of this course is to learn mining prospection and exploration methods, drilling technology, drilling machinery and equipment, drilling methods, evaluation of drilling data. Another aim of this course calculate the amount of the reserve and provide three dimensional characteristics of the ore bodies.

1   Able to define phases of mine prospecting and mine exploration
2   Able to comment numerical properties of ore bodies with sampling methods
3   Able to describe drilling methods
4   Able to array elements of drillstring
5   Able to identify sampling core methods from borehole
6   Able to correlate between type of bit and rock properties
7   Able to create ore body model with geometric and distance techniques

11 Introduction of UMREK and JORC code
12 Introduction to ore bodies reserve
13 Reserve calculations with geometric methods
14 Reserve calculations with distance-based methods
