Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge about management issues in the Mining Engineering profession and to introduce practices to gain skills in the methods that can be applied in leadership and management issues in mining stages.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to develop new strategic approaches and produce solutions by taking responsibility in complex situations that are not foreseen to be encountered in applications in the field of Mining Engineering
2   To teach and supervise these values by considering scientific, social and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting and announcing the data related to Mining Engineering management processes
3   Developing optimal solutions for engineering problems using mathematical models
4   To know the basic duties and responsibilities of the Mining Engineer in teamwork
5   Learning interdisciplinary teamwork

Assessment Criteria

The evaluation criteria of the course consists of a midterm exam, a group assignment/presentation and a final exam. In the group assignment, a group presentation will be made in which all the lectures will be applied in a real-life case study.

LO1-3: It will be evaluated with a midterm exam.
LO4: It will be evaluated by assigments.
LO 1-5: It will be evaluated with the final exam
