Course Objective

Teaching of geological remote sensing principles for earth sciences

3   Being able to analyse aerial photographs according to engineering purposes
4   Being able to lithologically classify satellite images
5   Being able to analyse satellite images

2 General properties and types of aerial photographs
3 Obtaining stereographic view
4 Planning of aerial photography and creating photo-mosaics
5 Utilizing methods of aerial photographs
6 Interpretation of rocks using aerial photographs
7 1. Midterm exam
8 Recognition of geological structures using aerial photographs
9 Usage of aerial photographs in engineering works
10 Electromagnetic waves, spectrum and visible area
11 Sensor systems in remote sensing and remote sensing platforms
12 Satellite image types in remote sensing and their properties
13 2. Midterm exam
14 Classification of satellite images using remote sensing softwares
