Course Objective

THE AIM OF THIS COURSE IS TO TEACH GEOMETRICAL FEATURES OF THE ROCKS AND ESTABLISH THE RELATION BETWEEN STRUCTURES AND PHYSICAL FEATURES OF THE LITHOSPHERE.

4 Revers and thrust faults

8 Foliation/cleavage and linear structures

10 Basics of the theory of plate tectonics
11 Convergent plate boundaries
