Course Objective

1) To improve the skills about, land survey, topographic measurements and applications
2) To improve the skills about map use, cartometric evaluation on maps
3) To improve the skills about producing topographic maps

1   To be able to define geodesy, photogrammetry, GIS and mapping
2   To be able to define coordination systems, the concept of the lenght and optical measuring
3   To be able to use mapping devices
4   To be able to make calculations and prepare maps

3 Geographic Coordinates and UTM
4 The concept of optical measurement of length and length measurement
5 Electronic and optical measuring instruments
6 The angle measurement technique, the structure of theodolite and total station instruments
7 Traverse types and calculations (1)
8 Traverse types and calculations (2)
9 Mid-Term Exam
10 Types and account leveling
11 The concepts of cross-sectional and longitudinal sectional
12 Area and volume calculations and methods
13 Measurement and calculation of tacheometric survey
14 Topographic map preparation and map drawing
