Course Objective

Information shall be given about Environmental Problems and Reasons, Geophysical Engineering Applications in the Environmental Problems, Geophysical Methods Towards the Protection Underground Waters Against Pollution, Site Selection of Waste Deposition Areas and Monitoring of their Effects, Determination of Areas of Buried Objects and Leakages, Determination of Landslide Areas and their Monitoring

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to comprehend the Environmental Problems, Reasons and Laws and Regulations with respect to Environment
2   The ability to describe the geophysical methods for the investigation of Environmental Problems
3   The ability to determine the geophysical methods for the purpose of protection of underground water
4   . To be able to determine the waste disposal areas with geophysical methods
5   To be able to describe the geophysical methods for the determination of the places of buried objects, underground cavities and leakages
6   To be able to prepare EIA report
