Course Objective

This course examines various issues and concepts related to the sustainability of water resources. Materials will cover global and regional water-related issues. Students will develop an understanding of the importance of water to society across multiple sectors, the various threats to water resources, and be aware of the complexity of water management and approaches to integrated management of water resources within the framework of sustainability.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1. Understand, discuss, and critique the complexity of global and regional problems and solutions related to water and water management
2   LO2. To have knowledge about sustainable water structures based on the concept of sustainable development.
3   LO3. Critically evaluate different approaches to water management and tools for assessing multiple water-related needs and uses
4   LO4. To be able to take part in studies that defines innovative approaches and tools in sustainable water resources management.

LO 1, 2, and 3: evaluated through tailor-made questions posed during mid-term and final exams.
LO 1, 2, 3, and 4: evaluated through reports prepared upon homework assignment.

Class attendance will be taken into account in the evaluation. Term paper topics and writing rules will be distributed to students at the beginning of the semester. It is important to submit assignments on time, they will not be accepted after the announced day.
