Course Objective

This course is concerned that referred to as a superficial in compulsory courses, if done correctly modelling and accountability to the model structure under lateral earthquake forces that is causing severe damage and loss of lives due to the structure function of the structural system with the establishment of suitable models of the stairs, do reinforcement calculations, reinforcement details are examined. In addition, types of retaining wall, retaining wall type selection criteria, reinforced concrete retaining wall models, static and reinforcement accounts will be made.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Having classifying ability on different lessons learned information according to the area of usage.
2   Modelling appropriate structural system functions.
3   Ability of using computer programs to solve the structural system model.
4   To be able to solve the installed system model with simple approximate methods, to compare and interpret the results
5   To be able to research information about the solution methods of retaining walls

9 Types of retaining walls and system selection criteria

11 Static and reinforcement design of retaining walls.
12 Static and reinforcement design of retaining walls.
13 Visual presentation of Structures under the influence of the earthquake.
