Course Objective

With this course, DEU Industrial Engineering Department students will be introduced to basic office programs (MS Office) that they may need in their professional lives. Through these programs, it is aimed that students will develop their modeling, problem solving and analysis skills on different platforms as an alternative to basic industrial engineering software and obtain professional achievements suitable for the Industry 4.0 era we are in.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the importance of computer usage skills and programming
2   Understand the use of MS Office programs and their professional contributions
3   Ability to solve a problem with industry using MS Excel Solver
4   Database modeling and management with MS Access
5   Acquiring the skills to write and present a scientific report using MS Word, MS PowerPoint
