Course Objective

With this proposed course, DEU Industrial Engineering Department students will be introduced to the basic office programs (MS Office) that they may need in their professional life. Through these programs, it is aimed to develop students' modeling, problem solving and analysis skills on different platforms as an alternative to industrial engineering basic software, and to achieve professional gains suitable for the Industry 4.0 era we live in.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehension of computer skills and importance of programming
2   Understanding the use of MS Office programs and their professional contributions
3   Solving a problem with industry by using MS Excel Solver (solver)
4   Modeling and managing database with MS Access
5   To be able to write and present a scientific report with MS Word MS PowerPoint
