Course Objective

To contribute to Turkiye's intellectual capital by raising awareness of Industrial Property Rights and increasing patent literacy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizing and distinguishing the general concepts of Intellectual and Industrial Rights (Patent-Patent-Patent-Design) 2   How to share information to avoid loss of rights 3   Which industrial property a project can be subject to and what needs to be done to protect it 4   Learning Patent - Trademark - Design research techniques and methods 5   Ensuring the identification of existing techniques by utilizing patent archives in new project studies 6   Creating the content of the patent file 7   Application processes of Industrial Rights 8   Legal gains of industrial rights 9   Techniques for using IPRs for strategic objectives and management 10   Techniques for using IPRs for strategic objectives and management
