Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform and guide students in entrepreneurship and technology-based business development processes. Participants will gain skills in generating innovative business ideas, developing business models, and preparing business plans. Additionally, they will become familiar with public support mechanisms and investor relations, acquiring in-depth knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Through experience-sharing sessions, students will be inspired by successful entrepreneurs and investors. By the end of this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to develop and present their own business ideas

1 Introduction to the Concept of Entrepreneurship Definition of entrepreneurship, its types, and the role of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Explanation of fundamental concepts.
2 Business Idea Development Creative thinking techniques, brainstorming, idea filtering, and analysis of entrepreneurial opportunities.
3 Team Formation and Organization Effective team formation, task distribution, and developing leadership skills in entrepreneurship.
4 Market Research and Customer Discovery Analysis of market needs, customer segmentation, and methods for collecting customer feedback.
5 Business Model Design (Business Model Canvas) Detailing and structuring a business idea using the Business Model Canvas.
6 Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Prototyping, solution design, and testing product-market fit.
7 Financial Planning and Resource Management Basic financial planning, income-expense analysis, and access to financial resources.
8 Support Mechanisms and Legal Framework, Intellectual Property Rights Government support programs (KOSGEB, TÜBITAK, etc.) and the legal aspects of entrepreneurship (intellectual property, company formation). Protection of patents, trademarks, design registration, and intellectual property rights.
9 Entrepreneurial Perspective and Experience Sharing Examples and experience sharing from successful entrepreneurs on establishing and scaling businesses.
10 Investor Perspective and Experience Sharing Investor expectations, evaluation criteria, and examples of successful entrepreneurial projects.
